Jean

A devoted photographer, Jean took over Place Victoria Cameras in 1981 before founding Camtec Photo on Notre-Dame Street in 1988, uniting a specialized boutique and professional lab under one roof. Over the decades, he has made Camtec a landmark of the Quebec and Canadian photographic community, championing photography as an art form through initiatives like the M Vision workshops. A beloved figure on the local scene, he is synonymous with Leica in this country and remains very much at the heart of the shop.

Founder of Camtec Photo

Emmanuel

Emmanuel oversees day-to-day operations and works with our suppliers on purchasing. He also handles part of the web development and internal IT infrastructure for Camtec, adapting it as the team's needs evolve. An amateur photographer since the age of five, he is equally at home with film and digital, and follows the technical evolution of the medium closely. Curious and patient, he'll guide you through your projects, whether in digital or film photography, video, or printing.

A skilled photographer himself, he handles digital and film with equal ease: he masters light and is intimately familiar with the various film stocks available. His passion for cameras, their history and the images we create with them is unmatched. Attentive and patient, he takes the time to understand what you need and to guide you toward the gear that suits you best.

Anthony

Thanks to his meticulous nature, Anthony makes sure every parcel arrives safely at your door. He handles orders with care and precision. A film lover and photographer himself, he'll also answer your questions on everything from tripods to lenses, film to drones.
