Description
This is Volume 1 of a photographic retrospective by the Quebecois pinhole master.
Guy Glorieux has been practicing photography for over 50 years.
He is mainly interested in the urban landscape, its aesthetics, the dynamics of large complexes.
Whether in his giant pinhole images or other forms of photographic expression, night is often present. The perception of space and reality is then called into question, our familiar landmarks lose their legitimacy.
Guy Glorieux has exhibited at the McCord Museum in Montreal, the Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire, the Lonsdale Gallery in Toronto and in the United States and Europe.
This book presents, for the first time, all of his large black and white pinholes from the St-Hilaire and Montreal series. It also includes a chapter dedicated to digital color pinhole cameras, of more recent form.
