A Summilux 35mm for the ages.

Heralded is a miracle in optical design when it was introduced in 1961, this ultra compact 35mm Summilux F1.4 is among the longest lived Leica M lenses.
In production through 1995, the Leica-signature 7 elements optical design assured beautiful images with that oh-so dreamy glow. Close down to F5.6 or F8, and the contrast and sharpness will tighten beautifully.

This lens is a CIRCA 1969, with the rare infinity lock that gives it a vintage character very similar to the original Steel-Rim 35mm Summilux, which incidentally shares the same optical design.

Focus ring and throw is smooth and even, Rangefinder cam perfectly positioned and aperture ring is firm and nicely clicky! Very faint marks on the edge of the front element which has no effect on the performance whatsoever.

On a digital or on film, in black and white or in color, this uncoded lens will perform beautifully on all Leica M cameras.

If the magical look of a Leica vintage M lens is what you are after, this beauty will deliver and impress. Few lenses can match the beauty and uniqueness of this classic 35 Summilux.
