Description

The Leica M11 glossy black combines the latest technology from the series model with the classic design elements that first enamoured photographers in 1962 with the Leica M3 special edition. The brass top and base plates are finished with a glossy black paint finish. Over the years, frequent use creates a unique patina. This exclusive design variant is also characterised by the classic Leica engraving on the top plate, controls with a glossy black paint finish and the deliberate omission of the Leica red dot. Another stylish accent comes from the shutter release with a lustrous silver-chrome finish – a variant that was first fitted to the Leica M3. With its elaborate cross knurling on the ISO and shutter-speed dial, this special edition of the M11 features a further refinement that differs from the standard model both aesthetically and haptically.

Key Features of the Leica M11 Glossy Black Paint Finish

• Leica M11 with Black Paint: Frequent use of the camera will eventually create a patina on the body, revealing the brass underneath the paint.
• Inspired by the Leica M11-P: Just like the Leica M11-P, this new M11 variant omits the Leica red dot, and includes a Leica engraving on the top plate.
• Black Leica M11 with a brass top plate: This is the only black Leica M11 variant with a brass top plate, all other black Leica M11 variants feature an aluminum top plate.
• This camera will be available as part of Leica’s current portfolio, and not as a limited edition.
