Made in Midland Ontario Circa 1966, this first edition M Summicron 35mm is in excellent condition and a rare chance to own a piece of Leica's rich history and its partnership with Canada.

Leica optics were way ahead of their time, being able to produce a compact lens with amazing image quality, even by today's standards.

Of-course this lens was made during the glory days of film, but you only have to see the images it produces on a digital M to be truly impressed.

This V1 Summicron has clean optics, smooth and dampened focus ring and a firm and clicky aperture ring. It is also equiped with the very characteristic infinity focus lock. It produces eye-pleasing sharp images wide open with beautiful luminosity and glow. Stopped down, you will see modern-like sharp images.

A timeless tour de force of a Leica lens.  This is not a mere collector item, it is very much a great lens to use.
