Description
A new movement
Featuring the world's first full-frame image sensor with global shutter, the α9 III captures fast-moving subjects without any image distortion and split-second moments in stunning detail.
A new era of capture begins now
The α9 III features the first 24.6MP2 full-frame stacked CMOS sensor with global shutter. Unlike a rotary shutter sensor that records images from the top row of pixels to the bottom row, the new Exmor RSMD sensor exposes and reads the entire pixel, so the camera can capture fast-moving subjects without no distortion. With a maximum shutter speed of 1/80,000 sec (1/16,000 sec continuous shooting)3, the α9 III is a game-changer for professionals.
120fps continuous shooting without blackout
The α9 III stands out for its speed and precision – capturing decisive moments with ease. It can shoot continuously at up to 120fps with full AF/AE tracking, without viewfinder blackout, and its highly sophisticated AI processing unit recognizes subjects with astonishing accuracy and reliability.
Preserving split-second moments
At 1/80,000 sec, the maximum shutter speed, the α9 III easily captures fast-moving subjects in almost any situation. Additionally, a compatible Sony flash (e.g. HVL-F60RM2 or HVL-F46RM) can sync at all shutter speeds, eliminating the abrupt non-linear drop-off in illumination and ensuring even illumination across the camera. whole picture.
Exmor RS sensor with global shutter
The new 24.6 effective megapixel global shutter full-frame sensor features a stacked CMOS architecture and on-board memory. Thanks to its high resolution, blazing speed and simultaneous reading of all pixels, even fast-moving subjects are captured without distortion. Its stacked structure and advanced A/D conversion deliver minimal latency processing.
BIONZ XR™ image processing engine
Up to eight times more powerful than previous ones, the BIONZ XR engine minimizes latency while significantly increasing image processing power. The large volume of data generated by the Exmor RSMC sensor can be processed in real time, even during continuous shooting at up to 120 fps. This greatly improves image quality, providing better gradation and more realistic colors while reducing noise. The camera can also capture high-quality 14-bit RAW images in all photography modes.
Composite RAW shooting reduces noise
Composite RAW shooting captures multiple images (4, 8, 16 or 32) which can then be merged with Imaging Edge Desktop software to create high-resolution images with very low noise. This allows you to photograph wildlife at high shutter speeds or portraits in low light, achieving exceptional quality with little noise, even at high ISO. Additionally, at low sensitivity, the α9 III can take advantage of the shake that occurs when shooting handheld and use RAW composite to create images with less false color and aliasing.
Advanced 5-axis optical image stabilization
Shoot handheld with confidence. The ultra-precise image stabilization unit, gyro sensors and optimized image stabilization algorithms detect and correct camera movement with 8 stops of stabilization. Compatible lenses with built-in image stabilization and improved body-to-lens communication deliver blur-free shots even at telephoto focal lengths.
Used Equipment Condition Guide
