The new TAMRON 50-300mm VC zoom lens offers a starting option at 50mm. While it reaches 300mm at the telephoto end, the 50-300mm F4.5-6.3 VC is extremely compact with a length of only 150mm (5.9 inches) and a lightweight of 665g (23.5 oz), making it the best in its class. The compact size also provides exceptional balance when paired with an APS-C camera, giving an equivalent focal length of 75-450mm. The clever arrangement of special lens elements effectively controls aberrations and achieves high image quality across the entire zoom range. The lens is equipped with a VXD linear motor focus mechanism that offers excellent silence and agile autofocus performance, while the VC image stabilization mechanism is a powerful asset for all aspects of photography. At 50mm, the lens reaches a minimum distance of 0.22m (8.7 inches) for a remarkable maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, allowing users to enjoy the world of semi-macro photography.
